And joined in&#8230; besides some of the kids from their soccer league, their coaches plus various older kids (high school and college) and young adults are there.  Plus a few (ahem) &#8220;mature&#8221; guys, like <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">moi<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Wow, I am out of shape. <\/p>\n<p>But I persevered.  Gasped for breath a bit, like an old John Denver song:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"font-style:italic;\"><p>Breathin&#8217; like a freight train<br \/>Don&#8217;t know when I&#8217;ll get up again&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One of the college guys was kind enough to ask how I was doing &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style:italic;\">&#8220;Pain?&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>There was, of course, only one appropriate answer:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style:italic;\">&#8220;Life <span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">is <\/span>pain, Princess!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night, I finally made it to the local soccer game that the kids have been going to.
